PRETORIA – A man accused of torturing and sexually assaulting patrons at Zanzou nightclub in Pretoria claims he was assaulted and tortured by police.
The 41-year-old bouncer made his appearance at the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Monday.
He was arrested in Yeoville last week after metro police officers identified him as one of the suspects.

It’s now also emerged the DRC national had been convicted of shoplifting five years ago.
Police are not ruling out further arrests as the search continues for seven suspects also seen in the viral video.
The former bouncer is set to appear again in court on 3 March for a formal bail application.
