IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS
A. Yellow Level 2 Warning: Severe Thunderstorms resulting in hail, heavy downpours and strong damaging winds, leading to localized flooding of susceptible areas and roads, and localized damage to infrastructure are expected in places over the eastern parts of Eastern Cape as well as the Mpumalanga Highveld and north-western parts of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over most parts of the Northern Cape and southern half of Free State as well as is places over the northern eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
ADVISORIES
A. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected over the Lowveld of Limpopo and Mpumalanga and Limpopo Valley, central parts of Free State, south-western parts of North West and extreme north-eastern parts of Northern Cape until at least tomorrow (04 February 2025). B. Very hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected in places over the Cape Winelands and the Central Karoo of the Western Cape as well as the eastern parts of Kwa-Zulu Natal until at least tomorrow (04 February 2025).
