Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Atuobi Baah popularly known as Sammy Flex, has denied claims that Shatta Wale was not invited to Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s massive 40th birthday party celebration.
Speaking in a recent interview, Flex said Shatta Wale was definitely invited however, he decided not to go because his ‘values’ did not align with the values of the party. Flex could not elaborate further on what he meant by values.
Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s much-hyped 40th birthday party came off on Saturday, March 22 at the Independence Square in Accra. Most top artists in Ghana were on hand to perform during the party, including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, King Promise, Efya, and others.
However, one artist conspicuously absent was the dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale. Wale’s absence sparked many theories, with many speculating that he was simply not invited. Others speculated that he failed to attend because he wanted to charge too much to perform.
Sammy Flex said they received an invite but eventually, decided not to go.
