Thandiswa Mazwai mourns the passing of a musician who was part of her team.
Taking to social media, she announced that the death of Thabang Tabane, a percussionist.
Thandiswa revealed that she is struggling to process Thabang’s passing; she further paid tribute to the musician.
“I am devastated to share the heartbreaking news that our beloved percussionist Thabang Tabane has passed away earlier today. This is an unimaginable loss, and we are all struggling to process it.”
“Thabang was not only an incredible musician, but also a dear friend, a source of inspiration, and a vital part of our music as a band. His presence, energy, and spirit will be deeply missed, both on and off the stage. He leaves behind his children. And the Malombo drums lay silent,” she wrote.
