SARS crashes Mam’Mkhize’s day.
Shauwn ‘Mam’Mkhize’ Mkhize’s luxurious home in La Lucia, north of Durban, witnessed an intense day-long raid on Tuesday, 26 November.
The South African Revenue Service (SARS), armed with a High Court preservation order and search warrant, swooped down as part of an ongoing investigation into her financial dealings.

They confiscated documents and other assets, bringing to light the legal implications facing the TV personality.
Meanwhile, in a peculiar display of relaxed indifference, Mkhize’s ex-husband, Sbu Mpisane, was spotted enjoying a drink on his balcony despite the commotion downstairs.

The widely publicised operation follows the recent end of Mam’Mkhize’s exhausting six-year divorce saga with Mpisane.
Their mansion remains divided. She occupies the northern section while Mpisane resides in the south.
This raid underlines SARS’s determination to intensify pressure on the construction industry to enforce compliance with tax regulations.

“This step is vital in our strategic aim to curb tax-related crimes,” stated SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter.
Kieswetter further applauded the cooperation between the South African Police Service, the Hawks, and SARS members, which was crucial to managing this complex operation.
“The orders prevent assets’ dissipation that might thwart tax collection and ensure evidence of potential non-compliance is secured,” he said.

Mam’Mkhize was unreachable for comment regarding the raid. However, SARS made it clear: the event sent a strong reminder that law enforcement will not tolerate defiance of the law.
