Philly Moloto, aka Mr Moloto, is the owner of Limpopo Anti-Drugs, Gangsterism, and Crime.

“WAKEY wakey, sleepyhead!”

It’s a phrase most addicts dread hearing. When they do, it means they’re about to be dragged to rehab.

Philly Moloto, better known as Mr Moloto, is the owner of Limpopo Anti-Drugs, Gangsterism, and Crime.

He has earned widespread recognition for his relentless work.

The man, who hails from Limpopo, has made it his mission to take drug addicts to rehab with permission from their families.

Mr Moloto gained popularity through his viral videos where he records the often-humorous moments when he visits addicts in their bedrooms to inform them, they’re sent to his rehab centre.

His candid and funny remarks about the addicts’ living conditions have captured the attention of many on social media. He’s especially known for lightheartedly pointing out the state of their rooms, particularly focusing on how dirty their pillows get.

He told Daily Sun he’s glad people recognise his work.

“To be honest, it makes me feel better compared to the way I felt before. I used to think people in South Africa didn’t care about one another,” Mr Moloto said.

He said he’s doing the job out of love.

“I feel like it’s my calling. I love these boys and care about them. When I was trying to assist and received criticism, I asked myself how some people are and whether they’re supporting addiction.”

He said he noticed drug use affects reproduction.

“When they take drugs, they can’t have girlfriends, which means as a country we’re diminishing.”

Mr Moloto said parents terrorised by their kids usually call him for help.

“These people don’t work and demand money from parents, and when they’re not given money, they fight,” he said.

He said he discovered that many parents get stressed out and end up in hospital because of their kids.

“Parents need to give these kids tough love. Some parents spoil kids until they’re shocked. You can’t give your kids money whenever they ask for it, especially when they don’t work.

“You’re making them relax to a point where they feel entitled to your money. Give kids money for job-hunting, not an allowance while they’re doing nothing at home,” he said.

He said young people need to learn that you can only get money if you work for it.
