The talented 45-year-old actress and comedian from Empangeni, KZN, has put her acting career on hold to focus on her first love, comedy.
Known for her role as Siphokazi Zungu on Mzansi Magic’s Isibaya, Celeste said she’s prioritising comedy, though acting remains a passion.
Celeste, who became a household name through her role in Isibaya until it was cancelled in 2021, emphasised that she hasn’t abandoned acting altogether.

“Now, my focus is on my comedy career, and for now, I don’t see myself on a soapie,” she said.
Celeste is gearing up to celebrate her 20-year comedy milestone and expressed joy in focusing on her stand-up performances.
“I’m busy performing in a comedy show and organising tours to celebrate my 20-year milestone,” she said.
In February, Celeste’s comedy career landed her in the United Kingdom.
Recently, she returned to Mzansi, eager to continue her work and hinting at upcoming performances in celebration of her comedy journey.
