Buhle Maseko excited about his Skeem Saam comeback.
IT’S been three years since Buhle Maseko was in Skeem Saam.
The actor, who plays Nimrod Kunutu, made a comeback for a few days. He returned to spend the Christmas holidays with his family.
Buhle (32) spoke to Daily Sun about his comeback on the SABC1 soapie.
“The last time I made a brief appearance was about three to four years ago. So, stepping back on set was amazing. It felt like being right back at home. Familiar faces, the likes of Ntate Charles (Masilo Magoro), Meneer Magongwa (Putla Sehlapelo) and people who’ve been there for a long time. I felt at home,” he said.
The actor said he also met new faces, which was amazing.

“Some of the characters I met were new and that obviously meant new set and new worlds. It showed growth and continuity for Skeem Saam. You find that the Mapitsi (Mogau Keebine) are heads of their own homes. Pretty (Lerato Marabe) owns businesses. That’s growth and beautiful to see. The last time I was there, their characters were at varsity. Now, they’re their own people,” he said.
Buhle, who’s also in Champions on Mzansi Magic also revealed his plans for 2025.
“The big thing for me right now is the music. It gets really busy over the festive season. I’m looking forward to releasing new music in 2025 and hopefully going back to school and learning music. Another thing I hope to do is more acting. I’d like to be seen more on screen.
“The year 2025 for me is about growing me and harnessing my music talent,” he said.
