A pastor has been found in possession of a car which was allegedly stolen 13 years ago.

This after being found in possession of a car that was allegedly stolen 13 years ago.
Cops in Acornhoek arrested the pastor, his driver, and four other people for possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to police spokesman Captain Magonseni Nkosi, officers were patrolling near Klaserie Dam when they spotted a vehicle with six occupants coming from the dam.
“The vehicle had only one registration number in front.
“Members conducted an investigation on the suspicious vehicle and it was established that the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, was reported stolen at Maake SAPS in Limpopo in 2011,” said Nkosi.

Nkosi said the pastor (42) claimed ownership of the vehicle and indicated that he bought the car from a private seller in Acornhoek.
He said the pastor further indicated that he asked the driver (26) to accompany him along with the four members from his congregation aged between 20 and 31 years to the dam for rituals.
“At this stage, we don’t know when the pastor bought the car, and the matter is still under investigation. All six people were arrested for possession of a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was seized for further investigation,” said Nkosi.
Acting Mpumalanga police commissioner Major-General Zeph Mkhwanazi commended the members for the recovery.
Mkhwanazi also warned community members to buy vehicles from registered dealers or verify with the authorities before buying vehicles from private sellers.
