Madala Mohloki’s courtroom delay over alleged protection order violation.
MADALA Mohloki Ramohloaki (74) will spend another day behind bars.
He appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court on Monday, 30 December, on intimidation charges.
The case was postponed to Thursday, 2 January, for a bail application and to verify Ramohloaki’s alternative address.
Mohloki has provided the court with his girlfriend’s address, which the state will verify.
On Thursday, 2 January, his legal aid lawyer will apply for bail.
Mohloki, who was wearing spectacles, was seen communicating using sign language to his girlfriend who was in the court gallery.
His girlfriend declined to speak to the media.
Mohloki, from Palm Ridge in Ekurhuleni, was arrested on 13 December after he allegedly violated a protection order.

His wife, Anna Ramohloaki (71), had obtained a protection order against him.
Anna wasn’t present in court on Monday, 30 December.
The couple has been married for 40 years.
Ramohloaki moved out to live with his girlfriend and rented a room in Palm Ridge, Ekurhuleni.
His wife, who remains in their matrimonial home alone, claims Mohloki keeps returning to take furniture and violate the protection order.
It’s alleged he disconnected electricity in the main house, forcing Anna to rely on paraffin and candles, sometimes struggling without running water.
She reported the matter to the Eden Park Police Station, and that led to his arrest.
