Lulu MP’s family mourns his tragic and untimely death, demanding justice.

How Lulu ended up in hospitalPauline revealed that the police arrived after Lulu was attacked by some residents in Empumelelweni Extension 3.
“We’re trying to uncover the truth amid many false stories about his death. We learnt that some people asked Lulu to help fix an electricity issue. After he fixed it, they refused to pay him, so he turned off the electricity again. Then they began to assault him. They forced him to climb a pole to turn the electricity back on, and he fell because he was already badly injured.
“When they saw how hurt he was, they called the police and accused him of tampering with their electricity. After I was informed, he was in the hospital. I rushed to see him. He was in awful condition, with broken ribs and breathing difficulties. He told me what happened before he died,” Pauline said.
“Before I left the hospital, he was just crying, and sadly, he passed away a few hours later. I got the call on Tuesday that he had died. We have tried to open a case, but the police aren’t assisting much.”
Pauline said they got case number late, so they could claim for the burial money.
“They said the state opened a case but didn’t provide us with a case number. Now, we can’t claim any funeral plan money because we need a case number. We’ve been running around since Tuesday,” she said.
