King Misuzulu with Queen Nomzamo Myeni, whom he will officially marry on 26 January.
KING Misuzulu ties the knot.
While a lot of people are still shocked that King Misuzulu is divorcing one of his three wives, it’s been announced that he’ll marry again.
King Misuzulu (50) will officially tie the knot with Queen Nomzamo “Masesi” Myeni (42) in a traditional Shembe Church wedding ceremony on Sunday, 26 January, at the KwaKhangelamankengane Royal Palace in Nongoma, north of KZN.
He paid lobola for Queen Nomzamo in May 2024 and the wedding will happen amid a court battle between the king and one of his wives in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
In court papers, which Daily Sun has seen, the king is offering his wife R20 000 monthly maintenance for a year.
King Misuzulu’s spokesman Prince Simphiwe Zulu confirmed that the king is officially getting married to Queen Nomzamo.

“As we all know, the king paid lobola for Queen Myeni last year. On 24 January, the king will do umkhehlo (traditional engagement) at Myeni’s home.
“The king and Queen Myeni are also members of the Shembe Church, so their wedding will be held on Sunday, 26 January, and all amaZulu are invited,” he said.
Prince Simphiwe said King Misuzulu is currently in isolation for Umkhosi Wokweshwama (the First Fruits Festival) at Emashobeni Royal Palace.
He said on Saturday, 11 January, young amabutho will arrive at the royal palace to prepare for the festival and on Tuesday, 14 January. Young amabutho will slaughter a bull and the festival will be finalised on Thursday, 16 January.
On Wednesday, 22 January King Misuzulu will host the Battle of Isandlwana commemoration at Isandlwana battlefield in Nquthu, KZN.
