Pastor and singer Nomvula Njunju Skosana has died.
GOSPEL singer dies.
Njunju, whose real name was Nomvula Creselda Skosana, passed away on Sunday, 19 January after a short illness. She was 37.
The Skosana family released an official statement on Monday, 20 January about the death of the singer and pastor.
“The Skosana family, with their friends and loved ones, hereby announce the passing of Pastor Nomvula Njunju Skosana, wife to Apostle Jabulile Skosana. Pastor Nomvula was a steadfast preacher of the gospel, an accomplished worshiper and songwriter, and a sister and friend to many,” read the statement.
She died after a short illness.
“Nomvula ascended to glory on 19 January 2025. The family is deeply touched by the overwhelming show of love, support and fortitude during this time.

“As the IChibi crusades mourn the passing of Pastor Nomvula, she will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her spiritual guidance and the love she shared with her family, friends, and community,” read the statement.
They said the official funeral details will be communicated on Tuesday, 21 January.
Producer Mojalefa “MJakes” Thebe paid tribute to Njunju.
He said after they recorded her first album in 2017, their relationship grew.
“We were very close. We spent time with my family and shared life together,” he said.
He said his fondest memory of her is that she was a perfectionist in her work.
