ONGOING drama between father and son persists in the Twala household.
This unfolded after music mogul Chicco Twala took his son, Longwe Twala, to the Diepkloof Police Station, Soweto, on Tuesday, 26 November, for skipping bail.
Longwe (39) was required to appear in court as per his bail condition.
He had been released on a warning during his bail application in September, pending further investigation.
However, Longwe failed to appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Friday, 25 October, thus violating his bail condition, and had been evading the law for over a month.
Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrest.

“Longwe Twala was arrested this morning in Diepkloof after a warrant of arrest was issued for him when he failed to appear in court on 25 October 2024. He’s expected to appear tomorrow, 27 November 2024, in the Randburg Magistrates Court for contempt of court.”
Longwe and his younger brother, Sello (34), were previously accused of breaking into Chicco’s home and stealing equipment worth thousands of rands while he was in the US.
Sello’s case has since been withdrawn due to insufficient evidence.
However, Longwe remains under investigation as legal proceedings continue.
