DJ Tira says he might have a reality show soon.
AFROTAINMENT boss DJ Tira is ready to address everything being said about him.
His new doccie series, Afrotainment iSgubhu Sase Dubane, launched on Saturday, 7 December on Channel O and is set to continue for the next two weeks.
The three-episode series features DJ Tira, his wife, Gugu Khathi, Dladla Mshunqisi, Danger, DJ Fresh and many others.
Tira (48) spoke to Daily Sun about the show.
“I’ve always wanted to share my life’s journey and inspire those who come after me. It was also important for me to showcase Afrotainment as a label, where we come from and where we’re going,” he said.
In the doccie series, they also address all the controversies Tira has faced. He said he’s not one to run away from drama.
“I think for me, it’s important to face whatever allegations that are out before you, especially if you know you’re clean and doing your best to work with musicians. Also that you’re trying to do the best you can. Mina angisabi lutho (I’m not afraid of anything),” he said.

He invited those who have played a huge role in his life to be part of the show.
“For me, it was a matter of bringing people I’ve worked with on my journey, people who have contributed to Tira and Afrotainment. It’s personal. I even brought in my mother in one of the episodes. I can’t wait to see the next episodes. I know it will be fun,” he said.
Tira is celebrating 24 years in the industry and said he’s had a great time.
“My journey in the industry has been quite smooth. Bumpy roads here and there and turbulence is always there. However, I’ve just lived a simple life as a young boy from KwaHlabisa who moved to Durban to study and fell in love with music.
“And now, DJ Tira is still here. Afrotainment is still making hits, no scandals,” he said.
He also revealed to Daily Sun that his family might have a reality show.
“We’ve spoken to some people, but nothing has been set yet. Something might come, but I’m not making any promises,” he said.
