MAHIKENG – The Human Rights Commission is holding hearings into scholar transport in the North West.
The three-day inquiry begins in Mahikeng after the commission received numerous complaints.
Parents say transport provided is inadequate, unreliable and unsafe.

The Commission has already received written submissions and now wants to hear oral evidence.
It says the issue seems to be a systemic problem and its report will make concrete recommendations.
