KOMATIPOORT, MP – Trucks crossing into Mozambique at the Lebombo border will be escorted by police.
This as the port of entry reopens due to a pause in post-election protests in Mozambique.
Demonstrations were halted to mourn those killed in Cyclone Chido.
Authorities from both sides met on Wednesday to discuss measures to mitigate the border closures.
A resurgence of protests are expected as the Constitutional Council decides on election results on Monday.
