One dead, 7 critically wounded in Nyanga shooting

CAPE TOWN – One person has died and seven wounded in a shooting that is suspected to be linked to taxi violence in Nyanga. 

Western Cape Police Commissioner, Thembisile Patekile says they have confiscated 20 firearms. 

Police say they’re still conducting investigations.

“Our team here was in the area. We prevented what could have been worse,” he said.
