Non-compliant shops given second chance

Gauteng Finance and Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile.

JOHANNESBURG – Just days until Christmas, the Gauteng provincial government is continuing its focus on food safety, conducting raids at three big retailers in Soweto.

It’s part of government’s response to a crisis that has devastated the country, with children dying after consuming contaminated food.

eNCA reporter Hloni Mtimkulu was there as Economic Development MEC Lebogang Maile led the blitz.
