STILFONTEIN – Illegal miners who have resurfaced in Stilfontein claim they were held against their will underground, by heavily armed men.
Since Friday, over 50 illegal miners have resurfaced and among the group, a 14-year-old Mozambican national.
The majority of those who have now resurfaced claim to have coerced and deceived.
Meanwhile, police have welcomed the Pretoria High court judgment, in which the application by the Society for the Protection of our Constitution, was dismissed.
Authorities insist no police officers will be sent underground.
