Cooper Flagg’s magic turned into one of the best announcing sequences of the NCAA Tournament.
Late in Saturday’s first half, Flagg spun in a ridiculous reverse layup through contact for an and-1.
The CBS broadcasting team lit up immediately.
“Cooper Flagg!” shouted play-by-play guy Ian Eagle. “Full mast!”
Then it was legendary color commentator Bill Raftery’s turn: “Willie Masconi spin on the release!”
Raftery’s reference to a long-ago pool player was absolutely on-brand for the CBS legend.
