JOHANNESBURG – The government-led rescue operation to get illegal miners out in Stilfontein continues on Thursday.
Police are standing by to arrest the miners as they surface.

The Zama Zamas have been underground for months, carrying out their illegal operations.
This has also raised questions about who really benefits from this illegal activity.
