JOHANNESBURG – Young South Africans continue to face hurdles in accessing sexual and reproductive health services.

For many, this means navigating a healthcare system that is often judgmental, dismissive, and out of touch with their needs.

Veronica Molefe, now 28 years, experienced these challenges firsthand when she was just 17 years old, trying to navigate a healthcare system that failed to understand her needs.

She has since been assisting young people as Shout-It-Now District Manager and 2nd Deputy Chair on SANAC’s Health Professionals Civil Society Forum.

These services are also especially important as we move 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence.
