Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Make First Red Carpet Appearance Since Justin Baldoni Legal Battle
SNL 50 starts with a Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds sighting.
The It Ends With Us star and Deadpool actor enjoyed a date night without their kids James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2, at the Feb. 16 taping of SNL 50: The Anniversary Special in New York.
Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, were all smiles as they walked the red carpet hand-in-hand. The Gossip Girl alum—wearing a stunning silver gown—also posed for a backstage pic with pal Dakota Johnson. Meanwhile, Lively’s husband of 12 years donned a classic suit for Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary celebration, airing on NBC and Peacock. (See more stars at SNL 50 here.)
The outing marks the couple’s first red carpet appearance together since their heated legal battle with Lively’s It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni, who she accused of sexual harassment during the making of the Colleen Hoover adaptation in a lawsuit filed in December.
Baldoni has denied the accusation, filing a countersuit the following month in which he alleged that his costar and Reynolds hijacked his role as the movie’s director and launched a smear campaign against him to “deflect attention and blame.”

In late January, Baldoni’s legal team publicly released a 10-minute, behind-the-scenes video from the filming of It Ends With Us with hope that the actor’s actions in the footage “refute Ms. Lively’s characterization” of him.
However, Lively’s attorneys believe that the footage “corroborates, to the letter” what she described in her lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging that the video’s release was an “unethical attempt to manipulate the public.”Â
Since then, Lively and Reynolds have made moves to request a gag order be placed on Baldoni’s counsel.
