BLOGGER Musa Khawula makes a big U-turn.
This after he informed the Vredenburg Magistrates Court in Cape Town that he no longer needed a Zulu interpreter.
On 2 September 2024, the court had to adjourn his case because he demanded an interpreter.
The court arranged one from Bellville, and he was present at Khawula’s previous appearance on Friday, 1 October.
When he appeared in court on Monday, 11 November, Magistrate Paulette Da Rocha-Boltney asked to confirm with Musa if indeed he no longer needed the interpreter.
Musa’s court case has been marred by delays and postponements, and the magistrate once expressed her displeasure about the continued delays.

The legal aid lawyer that Musa had secured on his previous appearance had withdrawn from the case. Musa will now have to deal with another lawyer, which he was assigned today (11 November), but the new lawyer wasn’t present in court.
Musa faces a murder charge for allegedly stabbing his ex-boyfriend, Wandile Khambule, to death in March 2022 in Vredenburg.
On the day of the incident, it’s alleged that Musa went to the house of Wandile’s girlfriend, where they were having fun. It’s alleged that the two former lovebirds had an argument in the house over an undisclosed matter.
The girlfriend asked them to go outside so they could fix their issues, but a few moments later, she heard people screaming, asking Musa not to stab Wandile. The victim was allegedly running for his life when Musa chased and stabbed him.
The case was postponed to Wednesday, 11 December.
