SAHRC Commissioner Makoasha and Provincial Office Manager, Victor Mavhidula said, “our concern as the Human Rights Commission is that we have noted the statement issued by the minister; talking about the 93% of removal of pit toilets in our province. However, the percent we’re talking about must be noted that the same structure that has been put in place in the past few years is currently in a condition can not be used by learners.”
