Chelsea host fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in an intriguing London derby on April 3.Â
The Blues enjoyed an impressive first half of the season and sat second in the Premier League table on Christmas Day, but their form has since dipped dramatically.
Enzo Maresca’s side have won just four of their last 13 matches in the competition, falling to fourth spot in the process, and the West London side now face a battle to ensure they qualify for the Champions League next season.
Maresca’s side could l0ok quite different at the start of next term, with a number of players facing uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge.
One of those players is winger Noni Madueke who, according to TBR Football, has attracted interest from Tottenham.
The England international joined Chelsea from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, having registered a combined 33 goals and assists in 80 matches for the Dutch side.
Madueke could return to Spurs this summer
He had previously spent time in Spurs’ academy, before moving to Eindhoven as a teenager.
The report claims that the 23-year-old winger will be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer if a suitable offer is received, and Spurs are said to be interested in re-signing the forward.
Madueke – who primarily operates on the right flank – is under contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2029/30 campaign having signed a long-term deal when he joined the club.
It is claimed that Chelsea are growing increasingly frustrated at the winger’s performances, and have therefore decided to put the player up for sale this summer.
Newcastle United and Aston Villa are both also credited with an interest in the Englishman, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The Magpies were in contact with Chelsea lasts summer about a potential deal for Madueke and, while a move never materialised, the report suggests that the North East side remain interested.
