Director Haneef Adeni, who helmed the Malayalam blockbuster “Marco,” is set to direct a Bollywood film next. “Marco” received widespread acclaim upon its release, and there has been much speculation regarding Hanif Adeni’s next project.
It has now been officially confirmed that he has signed on to direct a Hindi film under Dharma Productions, one of Bollywood’s leading production houses. However, details about the film, including the lead actor, have not yet been revealed.
Haneef Adeni’s opportunity to direct in Hindi comes on the heels of the massive success of “Marco.” Released in late 2024, “Marco” starred Unni Mukundan in the lead role. The film featured intense action sequences and violence, leading to mixed reactions from certain sections of the audience. Nevertheless, it achieved significant box office success, grossing over ₹100 crore worldwide.
Following its theatrical success, “Marco” premiered on the Sony LIV OTT platform on February 14.
