JEALOUS girlfriend stabs boyfriend.
Residents from Witsand kasi in Atlantis, Cape Town were shocked after a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend on Sunday, 2 February after a heated argument.
According to a resident, the woman from Du Noon visited her boyfriend on Friday, 31 January for the weekend. But there was drama on Saturday, 1 February when the boyfriend allegedly received a phone call from another woman, leading to an argument.
The argument died down and the man went to work.
However, all hell broke loose on Sunday when the man returned home and found his girlfriend drunk.
The girlfriend allegedly mentioned the phone call the man received on Friday and an argument started again, ending with the woman allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a broken bottle on the face and ribs, leaving him seriously injured.
Resident Sinazo Phaliso said: “When the boyfriend came back from night shift, the woman asked him about the woman who called him and why he entertained her on the phone.
“The woman got angry and started smashing things in the house. The man went outside, but the woman continued to break his belongings, including a TV set.”

Another resident said the boyfriend went back into the shack to stop the woman from breaking all his belongings, but the woman quickly locked the burglar door preventing him from running away.
He said some neighbours had already come out to the couple’s place to try to stop the chaos.
“After she locked the door, she then took a bottle of booze she was drinking and broke its bottom to create a sharp edge. She then stabbed the boyfriend with the bottle all over his body, including the face,” claimed the resident.
“The man could not run away as the burglar’s door was locked. Residents had to break the burglar door to stop the attack otherwise this guy could have been killed.”
Police spokesman Sergeant Wesley Twigg said when cops arrived at the scene, the victim was already taken to a medical facility for medical treatment.
“The victim later went to the cop shop and opened a case of assault against the girlfriend. The suspect was arrested on Sunday and is expected to appear in court soon,” said Twigg.
