UZALO actress sets record straight.
This after pictures of Nothando Ngcobo emerged while she was in Gagasi FM studios sitting behind a mic.
Nothando was invited on the Gagasi FM midday show on Wednesday, 8 January, as a guest presenter. The show is co-hosted by Siphokuhle Luthuli and Mkay Music.
After that, she posted pictures on Instagram and fans congratulated her saying she deserves to be on Gagasi.
But the 30-year-old from Hammarsdale, west of Durban, told Daily Sun she didn’t say she was employed by Gagasi FM in her post.
“I see many people are just congratulating me and I appreciate that, but the fact is that I didn’t say I’m now a Gagasi FM presenter. However, if an opportunity to be a presenter presents itself, I won’t hesitate to grab it because I’d also love to be a presenter.
“I was invited as a guest presenter and had a lot of fun at the station and enjoyed it. I also received positive response from those who were listening saying I was good on air,” she said.

Nothando, who plays Hlelo in Uzalo, said she’s still with the series despite not appearing for almost a month.
“I was not fired from Uzalo and my character is still there. People are still going to see me on their small screens. I’m waiting for Uzalo to call me to shoot new episodes for this year,” she said.
Nothando last appeared in Uzalo in December 2024, where her character was in prison.
