Ukhozi FM producer Sibongiseni ‘Keys’ Mkhize has been nominated in The Forty Under 40 Africa Awards.
UKHOZI FM producer Sibongiseni “Keys” Mkhize flies Mzansi flag high.
The 33-year-old from Mariannhill, west of Durban, is nominated for The Forty Under 40 Africa Awards in the music and entertainment category for his company, Finally Famous Entertainment.
The annual awards, which recognise the continent’s most accomplished and influential young business leaders, will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from 19 to 22 February.
Keys, who’s a technical producer for Ukhozi FM show, Dankie 1223, told Daily Sun his nomination is a validation of his investment in his career.
“I invested a lot of my energy in my entertainment career since I started my company in 2016. We deal with many things, including demo recording, productions, filming, podcasts, commercial marketing and releasing music for up-and-coming artists.

“I’m happy my work is recognised in Africa and hope I’ll scoop it and fly Mzansi’s flag higher there. This recognition isn’t about me, it’s about the immense potential of Mzansi’s youth and I’m honoured to play a part in showcasing their talent to the world,” he said.
Before he joined Ukhozi FM in 2024, Keys worked for Gagasi FM as a content and technical producer for nine years.
During his tenure at Gagasi FM, he was praised for bridging the gap between Mzansi and the global music scene.
Using his connections, Keys secured interviews of international musicians including rapper T.I Rick Ross, Kenny Lattimore and Debarah Cox.
He said he always wants to get new information to develop his career at another level.
“In 2024 I visited New York City to witness the behind-the-scenes production of renowned TV shows like The View and The Tamron Hall Show. I gained insight from The Breakfast Club, America’s most influential syndicated radio show,” he said.
