Singer Naledi Aphiwe Myongwane has a reason to smile.
SINGER Naledi Aphiwe Myongwane is among the matriculants celebrating their results.
At 18 years old, she completed grade 12 at Khethokuhle Secondary School in Inanda, KZN, achieving a Bachelor’s pass.
She told Daily Sun that this was a significant milestone in her educational journey.
Naledi gained fame after a viral video of her singing in the classroom captured the attention of global superstar Chris Brown.
Her voice was later sampled on his 2023 album 11:11, on the song Shooter.
This exposure propelled Naledi into the music industry, allowing her to perform on big stages.
Despite her musical success, she remained committed to her education and expressed her excitement about her results to Daily Sun.
“I’m very happy about passing.”
She said that although she has started doing music, she’ll continue furthering her studies.

“I want to continue with school and study drama and music.”
Naledi said that she dreams of being on TV.
“I’d like to be an actor one day, and I wish to be acting in one of the big telenovelas.”
She said that 2024 was the biggest year of her career.
“It was a hectic year for me, but I managed to balance and multitask. I had to prioritise the two most important things: school and music. I tried by all means to pass. I worked really hard,” she said.
Naledi said that she wouldn’t have done it without the support she received.
“I’d like to thank the principal of my school, my teachers, who encouraged me to do well at school, as well as my family,” she said.
