Over 950 people were left homeless after a fire broke out at the Kayamandi Informal Settlement in Stellenbosch.
Blaze tears through dozens of homes
STELLENBOSCH – Over 150 people were left homeless after a fire broke out at the Kayamandi Informal Settlement in Stellenbosch.
While firefighters extinguished the blaze, over 40 structures were destroyed.
The Gift of the Givers is currently on the ground to assist with humanitarian efforts.
Several informal settlements have experienced devastating fires in recent weeks.
