JOHANNESBURG – The new year kicks off with a strong push for safety and security as Operation Shanela takes center stage in the West Rand on Thursday. 

Gauteng police commissioner Tommy Mthombeni is leading this high-impact operation that’s aimed at sustaining the momentum from the festive season’s safer policing initiatives.
