DJ Tsitso died at the age of 37.
DJ and producer DJ Tsitso has sadly passed away.
His team confirmed he died on Sunday, 29 December, at the age of 37.
The popular DJ, whose real name was Rametsi Daniel Tladi from Atteridgeville, was well-known in Tshwane for hits such as Baby Boy, Impimpi, and Jaiva Majaivane, among others.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of renowned DJ and music producer, DJ Tsitso. His untimely death has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, fans, and the entire music industry,” said his team.
Tsitso was a key figure in amapiano, establishing himself as one of the country’s most beloved DJs. His music, with its infectious beats and African flavour, energised and inspired many listeners.

The cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but his team promised to ensure his legacy continues.
“Tsitso was a cherished son, father, husband, friend, mentor, and role model to many. His passion and dedication were evident in every beat he produced and every performance he delivered,” they said.
Memorial and funeral service details will be announced soon.
“We kindly request privacy and respect for his family during this difficult time. We thank DJ Tsitso for the unforgettable moments and timeless music he gifted to the world. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts,” the statement read.
