OFTEN, people believe that raw talent alone is enough to drive someone to success.

However, in the highly competitive world of acting, talent is just the starting point.

The path to success requires more than just a gift; it demands persistence, hard work, and a deep understanding of the craft.

One person who has lived this truth firsthand is the iconic American actress, Sarah Jessica Parker.

At 59 years old, she’s renowned for her unforgettable portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in the beloved series, Sex and the City.

Sarah recently shared her insights on what it takes for young artists to thrive in the industry.

Speaking to an engaged audience of fans, filmmakers, and the media, she took the stage at the prestigious Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, offering valuable advice and wisdom on navigating the complex world of acting.

Beyond her iconic role in Sex and the City, Sarah has demonstrated her incredible range in various films and TV shows. She said that hard work is meaningful.

“The accumulation of experiences. It’s the person that is the first to arrive and the last to leave. It’s the person willing to break down the boxes and be around the entire experience so that you can learn and see those who’ve been doing it longer maybe doing it well or not,” she said.

Sarah said that she thinks there’s such an emphasis on success now because of social media.

“We see a lot of people enjoy very big lives and we’re not seeing the work and I think the work is what makes you do the best colleague, boss, employee and the best person to have a corner office,” she said.

She said that whatever people chose to do they’d be far better for what they did that took time energy and was exhausting.

“That’s where you get a real sense of what is really needed by everybody. I know that’s the least thrilling thing to order as advice but I’m grateful for all the time I spent working really hard for no money because it gave me an opportunity to be around so many beautiful people,” she said.

She said that she’s proud of the hard work.

“It gave me coping mechanisms, it toughened me up and made me better equipped,” she said.
