A suspect was arrested with ammunition in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni.
COPS were patrolling the streets of Twala section in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, on Thursday, 12 December, when they spotted a man who appeared suspicious.
According to Ekurhuleni police spokeswoman Captain Neldah Sekgobela, the man became restless as they approached him.
“When members noticed the suspicious behaviour, they confronted this individual, and that’s when he started to run to avoid confrontation. A pursuit of the suspect ensued, and he was ultimately apprehended. It’s alleged that upon investigation, a rifle and 9mm ammunition were found in his possession,” said Sekgobela.
She said the investigation led the police to a house in Brackendowns, where it’s further alleged that the suspect pointed out a place where he kept a 9mm pistol.
