DEATH haunts the Senzo Meyiwa murder case.
The lawyer representing two of the accused in the trial of the former Bafana Bafana goalkepper has died.
Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu’s death was confirmed by his family in a brief statement on Tuesday, 10 December.
The statement read: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing our beloved husband, father and son. We confirm his untimely passing in the early hours of 10 December 2024 inVosloorus.”

Family representative, Dumisile Mngomezulu asked for space as they try to deal with the advocate’s passing.
“In this time of grief, we ask for your compassion, space and time to congregate as a family to decide in the upcoming days. We thank you for the love and support in advance and ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers,” said Dumisile.
Mngomezulu joined Meyiwa’s case last year to help Attorney Sipho Ramosopele as defense counsel for accused number one and two, Muzi Sibiya and Bongani Ntanzi.
Mngomezulu had to seek medical assistance in November after falling ill and never returned to court.
This is a developing story.
