Alarm as scores of children go missing in Eastern Cape

KARIEGA – Missing children cases are becoming a major concern in the Eastern Cape.

This month alone, 11 children between the ages of 6 and 17 disappeared.

One of them, eight-year-old Miguel Baartman was found dead at Willow Dam in Kariega.

He was remembered by his family, friends and teachers at a memorial service at Winterberg Primary School.

Police are urging parents to be cautious, especially as the festive season approaches.
