Pearl Thusi says she won’t let trolls get under her skin.
FOR YEARS, media personality and actress Pearl Thusi has been trolled on social media.
While she usually ignores negativity, it’s become overwhelming.
Recently, the 36-year-old addressed social media trolls on Instagram after enduring mean comments following a video she posted.
In the comments, people accused Pearl of being drunk or on substances. As a new DJ, she felt she should respond.

“People were accusing me of drugs, saying I’m high, old, and ugly,” she said.
In the past, such remarks would have upset her.
“God has given me growth.”
Pearl shared her initial urge to respond: “Why say these terrible things? I’m someone’s mum, a human, with feelings. I’m God’s child.”
She said she’s realised comments only have power if she lets them to.
“Whatever energy sent must return to punish its origin. Your healing isn’t my concern since you’re affecting my happiness. You’re God’s problem, not mine,” she said.
Pearl shared the video to support others facing the same negativity.
“Whose free Wi-Fi are you using to harass me?” she said.
