KGOMOTSO Christopher is excited to be returning to Generations: The Legacy.
She’ll reprise her role as Kea Moroka-Moloi on the SABC 1 show as she returns on Thursday, 28 November.
The 45-year-old actress told Daily Sun that the plan was always for her to return.
“It was very fortunate that Generations: The Legacy allowed me time to film in Cape Town. Even when I started in January 2024, the storylines were tailor-made for the character to go and leave. It’s good to be back, and I’m happy I was allowed to do this,” she said.
Kgomotso said viewers will learn more about Kea as she returns.
“We’re just going to expand and delve further into Kea’s background, which we were introduced to when she first came earlier. It’ll give viewers insight into her journey, which she tapped on before she left. She had to deal with her past, which is why she left. The audience will get a fuller and complete journey.
“She comes back to work with the shelter, and she starts working as a hospital administrator with Sphe (Pearl Monama). Now, we get to see her in her life as a career woman and philanthropist. It’s the same Kea that was introduced earlier this year, but she’s ready to face her past and not run away,” she said.

Kgomotso said she knew she had to be sensitive when playing out the intricate storyline.
“Viewers will watch that journey of her being afraid of facing the journey and the repercussions of her facing them. I know that one as an actor needs to be sensitive and know that some of these storylines, as much as they are educational, they can be triggering.
“As an actor or artist, as much as you will do your best, you need to be aware that it triggers people who’ve gone through that. This plays over 16 days of Activism, and it’s quite timeous that we bring this and one, as an actor, I had to be sensitive,” she said.
